Veducon installs wireless networks that are reliable and work flawlessly. Below is the procedure we follow to install your network:

Spectrum Analysis

1

We analyze and map out the potential sources of interference that use the same frequency as the wireless network. This is how we prevent failures.

Site Survey

2

The site survey consists of measuring the radio signal in the building for weaknesses, strength, reflection, overlap, etc. using special software. The data that the software gathers tells us how much of what needs to be done where in order to ensure that the network works flawlessly.

Site Survey Reporting

3

Once the survey has been completed, we document our findings and recommendations in a detailed requirements report that includes photos, drawings and work instructions for the (corporate) engineer. The report is basically the ‘plan’ according to which the engineer would normally set up a system.

Purchasing Equipment

4

If you wish, we can purchase the required equipment from certified Cisco distributors and maintain it for you.

Configuration

5

We configure your wireless network together with your system or network administrator. This is actually on-the-job training for your administrator, who gains a good understanding of how everything works.

Training

6

A few months later, your administrator will attend the official Cisco training course either at your premises or at a Cisco Learning Partner training center near you. The course is prepared and given in collaboration with a Cisco Learning (Solution) Partner.

After Care

7

We don't just disappear when we're done. Once the system has been installed and your administrator trained, we're available for any questions you may have and are more than happy to provide any additional coaching you may need. Because technology evolves so quickly, we will make sure that your administrator is always abreast of the latest developments.

Veducon uses Prime, Cisco's network management system, to help you manage your network. Prime enables you to manage both wired and wireless Cisco components, and can also monitor other (non-Cisco) components at the same time.

Below is the procedure we follow to manage your network:

Analysis

1

We analyze and take an inventory of your network. We then make a list of what you monitor and would like to monitor, and work out what the best way of monitoring everything is.

Requirements list

2

The information gathered during the analysis tells us how much of what needs to be done where to ensure that the network is managed optimally.

Purchasing software, licenses

3

If you wish, we can purchase the required software including licenses from certified Cisco distributors and maintain it for you.

Configuration

4

We configure Prime, Cisco's network management system, and make sure that it works flawlessly. We do this together with your system administrator, who gets on-the-job training and learns how everything works.

Cisco Training

5

A few months after the system has been installed, your administrator will attend the official Cisco training course either at your premises or at a Cisco Learning Partner training center near you. The course is given in collaboration with a Cisco Learning (Solution) Partner.

Audit and aftercare

6

We will perform system maintenance and install updates once a quarter. In many cases, the network administrator just doesn't have the time for these tasks, which is why we take care of your system proactively and give you tips and advice. Veducon is your network administrator's sounding board.

Certified Cisco Systems Instructor

Veducon is a Certified Cisco Systems Instructor and works closely with Cisco Learning Partners. We give training courses in Wireless and Network Management on the equipment that is discussed in the specific course. We can give the courses at a Cisco Learning Partner training center near you or at your premises. Whatever you choose, our turnaround time is short.
